Too young. Try again once they are feathered in. Usually, cockerels are pretty obvious by 6 to 8 weeks of age. It is very, very rare for a young cockerel to develop a bright red comb at just a few weeks of age.

You can give a good guess 6 weeks and onwards, sometimes it becomes very obvious around the 2 month mark
