I have three Speckled Sussexes that are looking like little chonks. They aren't quite half as big as, but they are definitely bigger than the two Australorps that are the same age as them (four weeks).
Is this a breed I need to worry about over eating and weight issues with? Or are they just a breed that grows faster?
They are getting Kalmbach's Chickhouse Reserve. I landed on this food because they are on straw and I wanted them to have something with grit in it. They are frequently emptying a chick size feeder once a day.
