how to tell one chick from another?

    well i have chicks pipped and chicks due on the 26th and i was wondering how could i tell them apart after sexing as the boys are going to be for meat but ive heard about painting their nails but i wouldent want to do that so then i though rings but there legs will be too small !! and then i thought mark them with animal crayon but i don't know have yous got any other suggestions? i don't want to split them apart as i don't like doing that [​IMG]

    You can cut tiny pieces of electrical tape or duct tape in different colors and make a makeshift band that you can easily remove and replace when the chick grows. Don't put anything sticky on the chick itself, you fold the tape onto itself to make it so theres no stickiness on the chick. I'm not very good at explaining things but hope that gives you an idea.
