How to tell the gender of baby geese

I don't think you can. Vent sexing is the best way. Any more "masculine" features can fool you. I've had some manly looking girls. You could probably do a blood test like they do parrots, but I'm not sure how much that costs.

Vent sexing is the only way to tell for sure if a goose is male or female. Some say that you can tell by the thickness of their legs (provided there are examples of both sexes in the mix), but I tried that with some ducks once and ended up with all 4 males

Either order some from a hatchery that are sexed or wait till it's bigger and buy an adult female.
