A pullet is a female chicken less than one year old. A hen is a female over a year. A cockerel is a male under one year, while a rooster is a male over a yearPullet? What's that? And the first pic I'm unsure how old it Is it neither crows nor lays egg
All three of those look like cockerels. I see saddle feathers on every one.OK I have some pictures of my Buffs. I have read all kinds of posts on BYC and I am still confused. I bought some chicks in January that were born in November, and are just about 6 months old now. They were all supposed to be hens. Yesterday morning at one started to crow . There are 18 babies and several have the large comb and wattles.

x2 The bottom two look younger or late bloomer but I see saddle feathers as well.All three of those look like cockerels. I see saddle feathers on every one.
