How can I tell when my silkies are feathered out and quit using a heat lamp at night. I have 5 silkies. When I bought them 2 were much bigger than 3 of them. I think they were older. They should be about 8 weeks old at least. They have been with my lavender orps that are feathered out well. I moved the lav. orps out to a bigger pen today. I am just not sure of the silkies. I ram gonna have to move them out from where they are next week for my bantam and her chicks when they hatch next week.
