I need some suggestions. I have 5 young banty chickens living in a tree in my back yard. We have tried netting them but have had no luck as they simply move up the tree. They are my chickens and I need to move them off the property by Aug 31 as I am moving. The chicken coop is empty What can I use to entice them in there so I can close them in? I've heard that they especially like popped popcorn. Any suggestions?

Where do you put their food during the day? Maybe if you try putting it in the coop they will go in there to eat and then you can close the door.

Bugs are probably the favorite. You can usually get live crickets or worms at a (fishing) bait store. They usually love mealworms. Also any bird seed, but especially black oil sunflower seeds, or game bird feed from the feed store.
