How to use Oxine Ah in a Humidifier?

This is the humidifier I bought, but it doesn't seem to blow mist - it's more like air...? Is this the wrong kind of product? Should I get something else?

Trying to treat a fungal infection.

I have it right in front of a cage (quite large cage) and all the cage and the humidifier is covered by a sheet.

Please tell me if I should be doing something differently. I didn't want to buy the fogger. We want to use a humidifier for our own use with essential oils after treatment.

Is there really that much of a difference between cool and warm mist for these things?

Is it a cool mist humidifier? A cool mist humidifier / vaporizer should be used. I purchased a cheap cool mist vaporizer at my local drug store to use when I treated one of my hens who had a fungal infection. I tented the crate and vaporizer and treated 3x a day for about 10 minutes each time.

It is a cool mist one yes.

Doesn't feel misty at all though.

I've heard humidifier, but the humidifier just doesn't seem to feel humid to the touch. I imagine he's breathing in the air that is contained in the crate that the humdiifier is blowing out. The water was gone this AM when I let him out. He was still rattling in the chest.

I will keep treating. Only option is to do it overnight - as he is a bugger to catch. We free range. Catching him would be impossible and stressful on him and me.

I've read that, but it suggests:

If you need a fogger and cannot afford the more expensive ones, there is an alternative. It is the Preval Paint Sprayer from www.dickblick.com. It’s a small hand held device that is commonly used when vaccinating poultry against viruses that the birds need to breathe in to become inoculated. The Preval sprayer requires ‘power units’ to work and they can be purchased from Dick Blick as well. Also, Fogmaster makes a ‘Fogmaster Jr.’, which you can view and purchase at www.fogmaster.com. The suppliers of Oxine may also provide fogger options and perhaps some kind of package deal, so I would check that option out as well.

And all I have is a humidifier. :/

This is what I do but others may do different. I use a humidifier I take out the filter because it will absorb the oxine if not. Humidifiers you feel air but it is working only cool mist no heat. I also have a spray bottle if treating one and put on finest mist and mist their face. Once a week I use humidifier and turn on at night and run till in morning. When I clean out coop I have a hand held sprayer like for bug spray (new nothings ever been in it about 15.00 bucks) and spray my coop down roosts walls floors everything. I use 6 1/2 ounces per gallon and put some in humidifier, fill up my spray bottle and leave the rest in the bug sprayer container. It has been so hot here it has kept my birds healthy this summer. Yes - the thing about the filter did. I did not take it out at all - thank you SOOO much. I will mist him with a fine mist spray and do the humidifier with the dog crate for now. Humidifier says a medium room, and my barn is huge.

I don't think it will work well if I used it alone in the barn. Do you think so?

the thing is I don't know what the technical words are but heres my version LOL. the mist needs to be microscoptic so they can easily breathe it in. to big of a mist they are not getting it in they are just getting wet. You also need to put blanket over crate when misting to hold it in with him like a tpee. the barn idk unless you can isolate an area but it needs to be sealed so you might be wasting your oxine. My coop has windows so I just close them for overnight. FYI I also put 1/8 t. per gallon in their drinking water keeps the scum off if your using plastic.
