How to wash chicks' feet?

Hi! I'm excited to have 6, 3-4 week old chicks. They have a large brooder and we clean it daily. Even with that, they often have poop on their feet. I have used a damp paper towel unsuccessfully but would it be ok to use baby wipes? I only have non-organic baby wipes - do you think they are safe to use on their feet? Thank you!

They would work fine. Personally, I would just soak their feet in warm water and then remove the poop balls with a paper towel.

Poop balls is such a descriptive term. Amazing.

Also, I've found with pine shavings bedding mine don't get the poop balls!
