I have a chick with a still minor form of angel wing. I tried looking up how two wrap it but each post only showed how to wrap a much older chick's wing. So how can I wrap the wing of a chick that is only old enough to have it's wing feathers? I don't know if you see it in the pic, but both wings do stick up at slightly odd angles.

My Method Of Fixing Angel Wing :)

Angel wing generally affects waterfowl. This chick looks very young, I would just keep an eye on it. It's only a cosmetic issue.

Here is a link with wing problems in chickens - listed as disqualifiers for show.

Here is a link explaining angel wing.

A byc thread with a similar question and the original chick outgrew the wing issue.

Angel wing is a waterfowl issue. My quail and turkey always have derpy looking wings and always grow put of it. Chickens should be fine as well
It isn't just waterfowl. Looked up angel wing and it showed a pics with adult chickens and ducks that have it. In chickens I believe it was also referred to as slipped tendon in the wing. There's also something called split wing which looks like angel wing, which mine may have.

There is a lot of misinformation out there that tends to get repeated online. You would not see angel wing in a chick so young if chickens were to present with angel wing. However, they don't get angel wing. Slipped tendon is not the same thing and neither is split wing. You can do more research or read the links provided above.
An example of misinformation with regards to poultry - I was just looking up pics of duck poo and came across a blog that had "a duck poo chart". All of the information provided was from a chicken poo chart that has been online since 2008 and it's a well known resource. Basically the author stole the info and pics to present their disinformation regarding duck poo. It's too bad that these things happen, but they do. You would need to research multiple sites to get consistent info.

Heres a run down on the type of sites you can use for research which explains the difference in urls:

Basically, anyone can own a .com and write an article and claim it to be valid info.
