    my hens will not set on eggs how can i get the hens to think about setting on eggs

    Hi,

    It depends on the breed and the individual chicken if they will go broody. Certain chickens, like Silkies, Cochins, and BO's, are known for broodiness. Others, like Leghorns and RIR's, rarely go broody. There are a lot of other breeds in both categories, but these are just examples. If you do some research on the breeds you have, you should find out what the chances of broodiness are. Good luck! [​IMG] Genie
