Hey!

This topic is made for those of you wondering what type of bait works best for catching what. Please share any tips or advice.

I know you use flours and noodles to catch skunk and possum buy what do you use to catch raccoons? I only ever caught one before. Also, what traps work best for you? I personally use live traps or make a snare. Any tips or ideas?

Lots of people swear by using a live trap with tuna in it for coons. I keep one baited with chicken feed for squirrels and got a possum in it

I have caught coons,possums,groundhogs,one squirrel,and one cottontail rabbit. Here is what I have put into the 1089 havahart trap:

cantelope
water melon
marshmallows
corn on cob
corn with peanut butter on it
carrots
apple
grape
mackrel

Well the first time I used raw chicken since he loved eating my chickens so much. 2nd time I used tuna since I didn't have chicken. The chicken would have worked but I foolishly didn't tie the trap down.
