I just got 4 one week old chicks today. The feed store I got them from said they do not need heat lamps at this age that it is warm enough for them. I live in Jacksonville, FLorida and our temps are in the upper 80's right now but I am keeping them inside my house away from predators. I have them in a bathroom with the a/c vent closed. My question is should I keep a lamp on them at this age or not? Thanks in advance for any suggestions or advice.

Week olds still need to be kept around 95. Next week you can lower their temp to 90, and then 85 the next week, but by then with upper 80s temps they should be able to go outside, as most 3 weekers have most of their feathers.
