How well do Orpingtons lay?

I loved reading this thread! My first Buffs (first chickens, actually) are 15 weeks old and I'm getting so excited for eggs.

They start about 20-22 weeks, don't they?

I looked at my calendar today and I wondered the same thing about my buff girls. They are 17 weeks and I was wondering when should I expect them to start laying. I hope soon. I have 20 Buff Orpingtons and they are so pretty and sooooooooo very friendly. They run up to me and pick the mud off of my boots. They are so comical.

Most likely they will start around 26 weeks, maybe a bit earlier.
