ok thank you, i follow an instagram account with pekins and khaki’s that can fly. but the guy said he trained them to fly?They can fly just not very high, only a few feet off the ground with most.

Not something they can be trained to do, and pekins definitely can't fly. They are very large ducks and there's no way for their wings to support their weight. So, that guy is making something up, lol.
this wouldn’t be considered flying? they told me without training they fly 10 feetI don't think I'd count that as real flying, haha. They're getting off the ground, but not very high, and the ground is actually sloping away from them, so they're kind flapping and falling and just slowing the fall, not getting any true upward distance. True flying, as in they get up in the air can actually fly way off the ground and go long distances, isn't something they can do.
So that's what I mean when I say they can't fly. They can probably get off the ground a couple feet (though I doubt my pekins could even do that much) but they can't take off like a mallard.
