Our neighbor gave us his iguana hutch. It's dirty though. We are wanting to clean the inside, thought about bleach/water or vinegar/water. Not sure what the best way to clean it would be. We have 3 day olds that we plan on putting in here once it's clean, safe and ready to go. The hutch is made of wood, wired for lighting. We would love to use it, but want to make sure its safe and healthy for our sweeties. Here is a picture:

Carwash!!!! First, then 1 tbl sp bleach to 1 gal water. then rinse and let air dry for at least 48 hours. is my suggestion. If you can find some sunshine as much as possible! or a UV light for 4 hrs to kill any thing that might be left.

Good luck and God Bless!

That sure looks like quite a bit of build up on the floor board. I would use a paint scraper and bleach, clean that sucker out real good and paint at least the bottom with several coats of a good exterior latex to seal the wood. Looks like plywood correct? Seal it, at least three good coats and let dry for a few days and air it out good.

Oops paint from H.D.

Awesome! Thanks! We thought the bleach would be ok, but wanted to double check. It's been sitting in the sunshine (YEAY California!) for about 2 days. My husband is cleaning it out now. I'm excited to see how it turns out.
