If you really want them, I know where you can purchase and have them shipped to you. That's where this fellow came from.

With my current set up, I would be doing any full crest bird a grave disservice. They're truly stunning birds and sadly, I must leave them for others. One day, though.....

Opportunities to meet face to face! Oh, that is a high priority

I'm sorry but that cat is not proof of life.

W/ every animal having individuality ~ putting any two together for the first time will result in different dynamics. The fact that Oliver & Nancy don't engage in tussles is encouraging.
That was the first time that they were up so close together. if the snow is bad this coming winter, I'll have to risk it.

Thus morning Oliver hasn't eaten his breakfast, he ran off.i opened the collapsed green house door to change his water and he was curled up asleep in his kennel, but of course I didn't see him because he had his back to me :D
I've had a cat & dog that were never seen anywhere near each other, yet my Mom's Toulouse & my Olde Boston Bulldogge were pals together on the farm. Never know what happens w/ any two species ~ some really bond while others just tolerate each other. All interesting to watch🩷

It's so lovely seeing your old photographs. 😍 What lovely memories 💖

Is she pooping ok? As long as she is pooping ok and eating I just take a watch and see approach.

Poor Twister had a retained soft egg this morning, I went to lift her down from the roost ledge and noted her butt was wet, looked and she had egg membrane partially dispelled.

She was working at spitting it out, so a bit of tension to stop it from getting sucked back in, helped it along.

Never ever pull on a partially expelled egg, you can prolapse the hens cloaca. Best to just let them work at it. Away from other hens who might also want to pull at it. Anyways she finally expelled it, and I gave her some Sulphatrim to help combat any infections. Made me late for work….

She’s one of my favourite ladies. Even if she did try to remove a chunk of my forearm a few times!
