It's a coconut crab. While they do get humongous, I'm pretty sure that photo had some help.

Anthony Bourdain ate one on a No Reservations and said they're incredible. The meat is *loaded* with coconut oil...

I gotta do some traveling.

They are like giant hermit crabs. They leave a shell behind at some point and the normally soft stuff on the tail end hardens in time.
