How would you protect your animals from nuclear fallout?

Pics
Just went out to break the ice on all the animals water and usually my turkey couple comes running over when I approach but Esther didn't ...I didn't see her at all...so I go into the pen and look behind their house and she was sitting in the narrow ally between the house and the chicken wire...I thought "oh no she must be stuck or hurt" but she got up and she was sitting on a nest :yesss:

Was wondering why she only laid her first 2 eggs and then nothing after...just thought "well it's winter so, maybe no more until next spring". I wanted to grab the few bits of trash around it but she was staring at me like this >>> 🤨 so I didn't want to mess with it since her breed isn't supposed to be broody at all.

Thank you Dad for your service and contributions so that others could peacefully sleep safely each night!

And thank you mom, for putting up with him.... (his incessant nerdy talks, pulling all-nighters in his basement workshop, and every flat surface in the house littered with his inventions and prototypes). Thanks for being so patient and not leaving him before your 6th child was born LOL!

What a great tribute!
My dad, who has since passed a couple years ago, was a sniper during WW2 in France & points west well before I was born. He was part of the liberation of the camps. He never talked about it. I never knew anything about it until we had ❤️ 2 💜 talks before he passed. He showed me his ‘souvenirs’ from the war: ribbons, medals, and Nazi & SS insignias, knives & tools, taken (I didn’t ask how). Some of the tools were ….. horridly used over there.

He talked about Normandy, Czech, other locales I can’t recall now, and I didn’t ask him about the camps. No need too, you could see them in his eyes.

Awesome...that is so cool! My dad didn't serve during active war time but he told me many stories about other countries they sailed to....and when he got older he told me them again...and again....and again.....LOL!
