How young can a EE's sex be determined

I believe you should sex it right after it hatches.

I tried with mine. I wasn't 100% sure.. hard to tell but I believe I had 4 male, 2 female.

I waited for their crowns... some grew theirs before the others first... which from that alone, 3 males, 3 females..

but now the tails, I notice some have longer than others and online I read longer tailfeathers mean male. according to that, there is 4 male, 2 females. which two for sure have like a short sex feather like a duck on top of their tail.

All the pics are pullets.

I noticed though when sexing EE's as babies, the chicks that are the prettiest or have the brightest colors are usually roosters. When i hatched four brown EE's, three were almost black and there was this other very pretty auburn colored one. He ended up being a rooster. This is not an exact science though. Like in the above pics, those are all pullets and very pretty. The roosters from that line though could be even more "bright" in color though.
