Glad you could join our community! Congratulations on your new chicks. Sorry to hear about the runt, but at least she's doing well. As long as she eats and drinks normally, I wouldn't worry much. My Columbian Wyandotte was a slow grower as a chick, but turned out to be one of my biggest chickens.
All of the breeds that you picked out are very good choices. They all have reputations for good temperaments and very good egg production. I've especially enjoyed my own Columbian Wyandotte, and I hope you enjoy yours, too!
Thanks again everyone! The runt is doing well! She still seems a little unstable and is certainly smaller than the other 4, but buts right in and eats now with the others.
I actually added a sixth though who is a few days younger than the 4 and probably a week or more younger than the Speckled Sussex. Anyway, the others seemed to accept her just fine and I think I'll stop my flock at 6 for now. They're still more entertaining than cable
