Just wanted to say hey to everyone.

We are finally getting back into chickens after moving back down from up north.

Rather than having an eclectic mix, we have decided to focus our efforts on THE G.O.A.T. chicken….Speckled Sussex…and look to make contact with those Sussex lovers and hopefully help re establish a group dedicated to them. We will be seeking some flock starters in the next few months. We are in beginning to establish the pens and coops and should be ready for our star residents by spring.

We are planning to attend the Dixie Classic in Knoxville, December 6 or 7 (don't know which day yet) to search for those elusive Sussex lovers and hopefully find some prime Speckies to start our flock.

Welcome. Oh my gosh...my favorite breed. I have 3-SS's, one hen and two roosters. I love the breed.
