Hi! New member here. I had some chickens, ducks, & geese about 30 years ago for a couple years (pregnancy & a move cut it short), and just got back into chickens last year. My new flock consist of mostly Delawares, a few Lt Brahmas, SFs, MF d'Uccles, EEs, a BCM & a BSL. We're interested in dual purpose chickens and I actually taught myself how to process and did some Roos last year. So I'm just going to be hanging around and learning more as we go into the new year. Thanks for such a wealth of information!

Hi! It's nice to have you here! Processing your own will definitely give you a different perspective on your chickens. I think it really lets you see how complex and fragile everything is and it's amazing how the life-balance endures more often than not. It's definitely an interesting insight.

I hope you and your flock are doing well! Thanks for joining and welcome to BackYard Chickens!
