Hi everyone!

I’m Tay and I live in Magnolia, TX with a flock of 17! When I first ordered chicks, I added 3 Easter eggers since my son wanted to see colored eggs. We got our first blue egg from our only blue egg layer and I was hooked! The next laid a green egg and the other laid brown (boo!). I love all my chickens and I’m for sure adding more blue egg layers!

I have a blog with pictures at silver homestead.com and absolutely love my mixed flock of golden lace Wyandotte’s, welsummers, barred rocks, Orpingtons and EE’s! Now I’m just hoping for a broody hen!

If you want more blue eggs try Cream Legbars or Whiting true blues. EE's can lay anywhere from pink to green so you will have a better chance with those two breeds.

Hello, and welcome! Glad that you joined us! Good luck with the flock! I like those big blue egg's too. You didn't mention if you had a rooster or not. If you do, and he has a blue egg gene, you could hatch her blue egg's to get more of those blue egg layer's.
