Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Cute flock!

Thanks! My ladies are very loving. although Delores is a bit bossy. They are still laying wonderful delicious eggs even in the "dead of winter", about 2 or 3 a day. One day last week I found 4 eggs from my 3 ladies which puzzled the hell out of me. I am trying to believe that they will be OK with the expected arctic blast headed our way. Their coop (built into a corner of our shed) is certainly draft free and well-stocked with straw and I made a special insulated area near their heated water fount base for them but I am still worried!

You're welcome. Feathers are wonderful insulators and your ladies will be fine this winter as long as the coop is well ventilated so that moisture doesn't build up in it, dry, and draft free. Moisture is a much greater danger than cold. I've raised chickens where winter temperatures dropped to 30 F below zero and they did just fine.
