I'm a Texas gal who got a few chickens last year because a friend was selling a really cute coop. I outgrew the coop in about 2 months. (Surprise! Right?)

I'm a backyard farmer girl with 7 chickens. I have 1 dark brahma (Kay) 1 silver laced polish (Farrah ) 1 Americauna (Chica) KFC (get it? LOL),1 feather footed cuckoo maran 1 golden comet 1 Welsummer and 1 GLW. I had 2 other polish but they turned out to be roos and went to a friend who has land. They were Fabio and Blue.

I've been a lurker for almost a year and finally decided to make an account so I can reply and ask questions. This is a great site! I've learned so much from everyone!

Just updated my avatar to my 'chicken selfie photo bomb' picture. The chicken in the front is Chica, my Americauna and the photobomber is Kaye, my dark brahma.
