Welcome! Lyons texas here (close to Bryan/College Station). Same issue with chickens and porch. I attached a spray nozzle to hose to wash poop off porch, and quickly learned the chickens scatter when I turned it on. Well, I decided to spray at birds every time they were on porch. Now, they seldom venture on porch and run if I pick hose up.

These chickens are quite an addiction, aren't they? I keep telling myself, "no more!"
