Hi, my husband and I are new to chickens. right now we have a small flock of six rhode island reds. Well, six RIR peeps. They are comfy in their brooder right now, getting ready for tons of adventure! We are especially interested in advice on keeping chickens in the heat, and safe from predators, and finding that balance between freedom for the chickens and safety from predators. Plus, we're looking forward to meeting other folks with similar interests. Feel free to drop us a line.

Please check out the predator thread and coop building.
