I live in whatcom county, Wa state. Raised chickens as a kid, finally getting chickens this spring as an adult! looking forward to fresh eggs and eventually a meat flock when my family and I buy a piece of land. Currently researching how I am going to build a coop for this spring, challenging myself to a very small budget, hoping to only have to buy essential items, and barter or scavenge the rest off craigslist. We have predators also, so I will be reading up on that. Cant wait to get our little flock and show them to my 16 month old son and my husband. He has never had chickens, but loves farm fresh eggs. It will be fun to watch them fall in love with our ladies and get to know their little noises and dispositions.
