Hello all,

I've been lurking on the site for days... really loving all that I've learned. My name is John Cullimore.

I'm about to venture into more gardening and chicken raising with my fam. We live in an intentional community where others have farmed for years right around us... we're joining in now.

I have a flock of Rhode Island Reds coming. My friend who runs Rose Creek Farms is going to keep them in his brooder for the first 6 weeks, as he's getting 300.

I have 4 little girls, and they are extremely excited about our new ventures and making things grow, along with my wonderful wife.

I've been hunting around for what type of coop/tractor I'm going to go with. I'm working on a very limited budget... but have a great access to wooden pallets.

Anyway, I'm excited to get to know you all.

John

Wow, a lot of love here.

Thanks Sumi! Those are very helpful. I'm also reading an excellent book called "Chicken Tractor" that has loads of info. Lots of fun.
