(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
New again to chickens. Had them growing up. Have barnyard mixes that we hatched that are 37 days old. A Quad of young adults. Some toddlers at 17 days old. And two sets of infants 3 days and hours old.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
36 with 3 pips waiting to see if they make it. Will make 39
(3) What breeds do you have?
A frizzle
Barnyard mixes
Brahmas
Marans
Silver laced wyandotte
Ayam cemani
Black copper and cuckoo marans
Rhode island reds
Mille fleur d'uccle
Crested cream legbar
And an Easter egger
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Eggs and incubating
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Kayaking and soccer
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have two boys, 4 dogs, 3 fish, and 1 very understanding other half that helped me start this chicken venture.
