Howdy! I'm here for the chicken tips!

It's nice to meet you all. I am hoping to learn a thing or two about a thing or two. I am fairly new to chickens. I was gifted some little pullets in June of 2022, so in just a few days, it will be my one year anniversary with my sweet little hens. (One Buff Orphington and three Rhode Island Reds, in my home town, we can have up to six hens, but no roosters) My mom raised chickens all of my life, but I never really took much interest back then. Now I am kicking myself for not paying attention and learning all about it back then. I am sure she is up there laughing her hiney off at me now LOL. I am also learning how to grown my own small garden, which has been fun as well. So far, I have lots of tomatoes, some cabbage, and onions successfully harvested. We shall see what crazy thing I come up with next LOL. My husband and I fell in love as teens and have been married for going on 35 years. (He's still a keeper) We have two grown children and five wonderful grandchildren. I don't know what else to tell you, but I am so grateful to have a place to ask questions and get some helpful advice with my sweet little hens.
