Sorry for your losses.
I have a momma bear that lives nearby as well as coyote, racoon, fox, opossum, fisher cat and weasels. I keep my chickens enclosed in an electro-netted pen charged with a 10,000 volt charger. I've never lost a bird within the confines of their pen.

Thank you. I'll have to look into the pen. I'm in the suburbs and would have put money on a raccoon if my security cameras hadn't caught it. He got to them about 10 minutes before we got home.

Hello and welcome to BYC. Sorry about the losses from the bobcat Our losses have been due to @$ hawks in the fall while free ranging. So far no other preditor issues and now during fall season they are in enclosed pen.

My husband and boys went to a wild game food buffet at church. They said Bobcat meat is disgusting, but raccoon meat in stuffing is ok. Just for your information.
