In the Brooder
I'm not exactly new to this forum, as my daughter has an account and we've used it for information - a lot!
We now have 24 chickens, divided into 3 coops (don't ask - it's complicated!) We started with 3 sexed chicks 17 months ago. Since then we've hatched and added more chickens, some from a breeder and some from our own coops.
Breeds we have are: 4 silkies, 2 silkie cross (both roosters and quite ... interesting to look at). 9 double silver barnevelders, 6 rhode island reds, one sussex, and 3 sex-linked hens.
We found Back Yard Chickens through search engine searches - it comes up for every query we make! Excellent resource and we have used it many times, particularly when hatching.

Welcome to your own BYC membership! We hope to see you around often. It seems you are experienced enough to answer a few questions that others may have.
