Howdy!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
I've received chicks via USPS three times. It's best to have them shipped in mild weather.
How many chicks are you expecting? That brooder is small and they will likely outgrow it in about 3 weeks.
Is your coop and run built and ready to go?

Hey there! I bought 10 chicks....The coop kit is built and it has a run underneath but I'm already looking at building a big pen/run to put the coop into. Personally, I don't think the so-called 'Large Coop' I got from Aosom is big enough for more than 2 full grown chickens. It may hold the chicks for a couple months tho...

You'd better start building that bigger coop now.

Hehehehe I'm sure they'll grow fast on me. This brooder container is 2 feet deep but just 32"x20" floor space. I was hoping that by the time they need more space they can go into the coop & run. Or I thought I may separate them, keeping any week ones in the brooder while the hefties go into the coop & run a little earlier. I do also have other containers that could be made into additional brooders if need be. I bet they develop emotional bonds tho. Any feedback on separating chick friends?

You don't want to separate them. You need a bigger brooder. You could always brood in the small coop and run once they are too big for the tub. But I would start building a proper coop now.
