1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I recently got my first 4 chickens and 2 ducks for Christmas!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 4 chicks and 2 ducks, but have an order of 8 more chicks and 3 ducks coming sometime in April!
(3) What breeds do you have?
Black Austrolorp (spelling is off lol) and Pekin Ducks
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Right now they are fun to watch, I’m sure I’ll love the eggs once they start laying!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love to craft! I sew lots of fun stuff and play with my cricut! I also love cooking and baking, and gardening. I also love anime!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I’m happily married with a beautiful 3 year old little girl, and hopefully another kiddo in the next year. I’ve got a German Shepard, and a docker (cocker spaniel/wiener dog mix). I work from home as an accountant! Proud Texan!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Ever since I got my chicks I’ve been a lurker! I decided to make the plunge today!
