New guy in KY. I bought 8.5 acres of land last fall and am trying to get a small farm going. I have never had any animals other that a dog so it is gonna be a learning experiance for me.

Hi! I'm new here, too! I'm in NW Arkansas. Don't have chickens yet - but I will. I'm looking for Cochin Bantams (Frizzled). I currently raise Standard and Mini Rex rabbits. I used to live on a farm and raised dairy goats (LaMancha), horses (Appaloosas) and cattle (Simmentals) among other critters. Moved to town and have had to "downsize". Miss the farm life and think chickens would do nicely in the backyard. Am also considering ducks. . .

And, don't tell anyone, but I think I could smuggle in a Nigerian Dwarf goat and no one would realize she was here
