Posted years back under different profile "farmerpalermo." Finally got my girls, at least I hope they are girls. 2 black australops, 1 buff orpington, and a golden sexlink. My little barred Plymouth Rock "Rocky," didn't make it through the brooding, he showed no growth for 2 and a half weeks or so.

I'm in Round Rock, Tx. If you are in the area and want to talk chickens, stop on by.

Coop, run, other little chicken, and two dogs that eat well (not chickens thankfully, although they haven't been tested.)

Nice flock (all the chickens, tested or otherwise :P) I love the orpington, that colour is very pretty. Hopefully they'll all turn out to be girls!

Howdy, and welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. You have some great photos and and a great group of layers. Black Australorps are very hardy, gentle and calm (like the Orpingtons), and are the best brown egg layers of the standard breeds, and the Golden Sex Links are egg laying hybrid machines. My wife and I were raised in the great state of Texas and still have a lot of relatives in there. Good luck with your flock.
