How's the Weather???

been windy and snowing all day.. supposed to continue tomorrow into sat. already have a foot.. ugh.. i just want sunshine.. warmth. to be able to go outside.. poor chickies have been cooped up for over a month.. snow too deep... poor babies

more snow...big winds. not alot of accumulation tho - just a few inches. (any other year "a few inches" or anything enough to cover the ground would be a big deal!! not so for this year! if its under two feet, we're like - oh ok thats not too bad then LOL )

It has finally stopped raining here and the wind has died down. It was blowing so hard last night that I was worried a tree would be blown down on top of our house!

Colder than I would like, but much better than it has been. The snow is finally starting to melt off. And the last snow actually missed us. Just a dusting yesterday morning when I woke up.

Todays high is susposed to be 27. So when I go to work I will get to slip and slide on mud instead of snow. On the bright side my daughter surprised me with 6 chicks and 5 ducks. The down side is that all my brooding supplies are in my storage shed that has a 5 foot snow drift in front of the door. Asked dh if he could shovel through the drift, he gave me a funny look and said he would be back in a little while. An hour later he came back with new brooder lamps, feeders and 2 plastic totes. lol

I could have clicked windy and rainy however....

Winds are gusting at 113 km per hour, the bridges are shut down to high sided traffic and we are expecting upwards of 100mm of rain, it is 3 degrees celcius or about 38 degreed F)!
