Hubby killed a snake yesterday!! What kind was it? pic added

My other next door neighbors had a snake removal guy come and take them from under their porch 2 times...now those neighbors have moved and the new neighbors have a 2 yr old baby... i warned them to be careful...
We only saw one last year though... hopefully we'll see NONE this year..
The other snakes dont bother me though.. gardners and milk snakes..
its just those dang copperheads..

Eastern milksnake. Harmless. Depending on the state a punishable offense for harming or killing it. Removing the snake means you need to buy more moustraps.

They can be quite expensive, depending on their pigments. The kids love them. I have seen anything more than a garter snake for years.

You would be amaze at the pricing for corn and milk snakes. One of the volunteers at the rescue I am at makes quite a profit on her herps. Her bloods get between 350 an 400. They are beautiful, vibrant red. Plus they are docile, smaller than most constrictors, an handle captivity very well. Great first snake for kids. My 12 and 10 yr olds have one each, a blood and a caramel, I like them better than the balls, and since they stay under3/5 feet, easier to handle.
