I want to keep better records of my incubation attempts. And it is my hope that if I post it here, maybe I might get some tips of hints as to why sometimes things go spectacularly well or poorly. Fresh eyes with more experience might pick up on something I missed.

April 2023 -
-22 bym chicken eggs in the bator (mine)
4 duds
18 hatched (15 sold, 3 kept)
Humidity around 30 until lockdown then up to 50s

May 2023 -
-16 bym duck eggs set (mine)
4 duds, 6 quitters at various stages
6 hatched
Humidity around 40 then up to 60 for lockdown

-24 Crevecoeur shipped eggs/10 made it intact and were set
Detached aircells, rough shape, all pulled at day 10 due to no development

-12 BBS Copper Marans set (bought from local breeder)
Too dark of egg to see through to candle.
4 hatched total - 1 with severely deformed head and beak, couldn't zip well but was a fighter and held on for days.
Humidity at 30 until lockdown, then up to 58/64.

*12 Salmon Faverolle (Localish breeder)
1 dud, 1 blood ring, 2 questionable at 6 days

*10 BYM (mine)
3 duds at 6 days

The 10 BYM that I set back in May began hatching out June 5th. A bit ahead of schedule. So far 4 have hatched. Two from olive eggs - one black with faint feathering on its legs and another blue with no feathering seen - and two from a white and a mint green egg eggs - both are chipmunk striped. One more has hatched out of a white egg

Waiting on the last three to zip.

----------------------------------
7 BYM that were set in May are all still developing and headed for lockdown tomorrow

-------------------------------------
5 Barred Rock, 6 Penedesenca and 6 Crested Cream Legbar are still on their merry way as well

Thank you for sharing all this data. Seems like your settings are pretty standard.

What kind of incubator are you using? I know we typically primarily hatch our BYM's here and had generally the same stats as you. Usually around 75% if placed eggs and then 90% or so of eggs that made it to lockdown. That was with aN NR360. Recently we switched to an older style bator, and have had much better hatched from placed stats, around 90%. The baseline egg is all the same.

Obviously, shipped eggs are what they are. We have some celadon quail eggs going right now, my first shot at quail. They were shipped and my hopes are low. Day 3 now, I'll probably candle them this weekend.
