I cant believe your getting that many eggs still! You must be feeding some awesome stuff!! Lol My oldest dog likes to run into the middle of the flock and scare the heck out of the chickens..its pretty neat to see how fast the chickens react! Your coop is beautiful!!! You really did a great job on it!Hi Everybody~ Still getting 8-10 eggs from 11 chickens although Lucy (or is it Ethel?...can't tell them apart) hasn't laid in several days so maybe she's quitting for the winter months? I have not used any supplemental light. A few of them recently started staying outside the coop door (but inside the run) when they go in to roost at night. They've never done this before. Do they like the cold? Are they afraid of the dark coop? Strange girls...no surprise given their keeperLexi~ I wish you had your camera yesterday! I've yet to see my girls' reaction to snow/ice. We only got a dusting today and by the time I got home from work to let them out yesterday, the ice was pretty much gone. Murphy (the puppy) harassed the Nuggets today. Mr. Blue the Roo got his feathers in a twist and went after him. I wish I'd taken a video. Only caught Murph going after this nugget. She was NOT amused.
Gotta go to bed. I can't believe I'm still awake!
Hope everyone is well !
