Sorry..didn't mean to scare you! Chickens are a lot of fun and very addicting. We've had them since last March. We started out with 6; added another 6 which turned into 17 and now we have 22. Not sure how it happened, but it does! We were in the same predicament but we modified a goat shelter as a 2nd coop instead of expanding. Someday I'd like to consolidate everyone into 1 big walk-in coop with storage, a grow-out pen, etc. Anyway, welcome to the madness. Everyone here is very nice and helpful. If you need more chicks or chickens or a rooster, ask around. You're almost guaranteed to find one of us with a full incubator or eggs to hatch. Edited to add: I just peeked at your pictures. Your coop is adorable and your chickens look very happy. I have several different breeds and my 3 RSLs are the friendliest and most inquisitive girls. If they're out free-ranging and I'm on the patio, these 3 are my constant companions. One of them jumped onto the porch swing and hung out with me for a bit. They're good layers, too!
