Thank you! And Congratulations to you! I LOVE the name McKenzie. How does it feel to be a grandmother? My daughter and her husband want to wait a few years. I think I'll be "ready" for grandchildren by the time they decide to start a family. I have a 7 yr. old son so all of the pregnancy/baby/toddler times aren't a dim memory yet! But I keep reminding myself I can spoil the baby and send him/her home~ the BEST part of grandparenthood from what I've heard!!

Thank you! Congratulations to you too! When is your daughter getting married? Has it been a long engagement? Lindsay and Chris got engaged last October so for the past year we have lived and breathed Wedding! It was fun but it's nice to be back to "normal" ((whatever normal is....))

I think im only going to get one more..the others died before piping. There is one that might make it but it seems to be slowing down and not moving much. So ill have 2 babies for sure.

It is so wonderful being a grandmother. I'm a full-time grandmother because I watch her when my daughter in-law and my son are at work. I have six children of my own, my older son is 32 and my youngest daughter (only girl) is 14. I love spoiling McKenzie a lot but It's not easy having her all the time. I do love it when she gets mad that she has to leave me but I hate it when she cries when her father comes to pick her up. She absolutely loves my chickens, she feeds them bread. A bite for her and a bite for them. Lol! Here's a picture of McKenzie blowing me a kiss!

Six children..wow! That's a nice, big family. You're going to have a LOT of grandchildren someday! McKenzie is gorgeous!!! And those pudgy little hands! Adorable~ Little girls are so sweet! I have 3 daughters (25, 23 & 18) and 1 son aka The Prince. He'll be 8 next week. What's the age difference between your daugher and youngest son? Does she like having 5 older brothers? How are your chickens doing? Mine have been victims of Candy Crush Saga Neglect. Going to do a thorough cleaning of both coops this weekend. Thinking about trying the deep litter method for the winter. Hope it's not a brutally cold/snowy one. If I could hibernate all winter I'd be a happy girl.

SO cute!!! I often read about incubation going well and then chicks/ducks dying during pipping. Hatching seems so complicated. Is it?? Did the other one hatch? And how is the one who was slowing down?? I'm going to do a thorough cleaning of the coops this weekend. Considering the deep litter method for the winter. I can't imagine going out there in the dead of January to clean the coops and I heard this method keeps the coop warmer during the winter. Your thoughts Mizz Lexi???

Yes, 6 Children ages 32, 30,27 set of twins that are 16 all boys and my 14-year-old daughter. We are a big blended family. With my first husband I had three wonderful boys. And now I'm married again with the last three children.
My chickens are doing good but I not getting many eggs the last 4 days not sure why. I have eight hens and four roosters I know I have too many roosters but I've been trying to rehome them but nobody wants them. We just put light in the coop, I'm not sure how to keep the water from freezing in the winter. When it gets to cold we're going to put a heat lamp in there and hopefully that will help the water from freezing. This is are first time raising chickens hopefully we make it through the winter.
