It was a hawk. My husband scared him away, when he let the dog out! Just in time! We would have found him dead.
Truffles is now safe and sound in a large dog crate, in my home, recovering from his wounds. I think he is still in shock. Barely eating and drinking.

Poor little guy! Hope he snaps out of it! Give him se electrolytes, maybe that will help!

Im having such a hard time with my ducks! My youngest muscovies feet keep freezing! I dont know whats going on with them...I have hay down everywhere in the pens and i have the coops packed full of hay! I have the water bowls blocked off so they can swim or bathe.. My first year with more than one duck isnt going well!

Sorry to hear Coupe. Maybe there is a solution on the duck threads? I am worried about the chickens but other then being a bit more quiet and two + deciding they will now start missing the automatic closing during the worst weather they seem to be ok.

I believe I know you from another forum. Nice dogs in your avatar.
