Welcome chickenmama~ I'm in New Windsor. We have 16 hens, 1 jerk roo, 3 orpington chicks that hatched a couple of weeks ago, 2 white silkies we recently adopted from DH's cousin and a bunch of eggs (I lost count) in the incubator due to hatch on Mother's Day. OH and 6 cornish X too <~~ DH's project. Beware of goats. We had 2 Nubian males. They were adorable but nothin' but trouble!

One of my hens went Broody!!!!!!!

Hey all, I'm new to this thread today. I've gone to the other NY one but they are all quite a bit further upstate than I am. I'm in Delaware county, almost to the Sullivan county boarder and Liberty, NY is only about 25 minutes from me. I raise all sorts of different breeds as I like variety. I might soon have to sell or give away some of my babies as I think I might have to many. The majority range in age from 2-11 weeks, with a few about 1 yrs old. Also a pair of Jersey Giants that are 2. Just wanted to stop in and say hi and I hope to post pictures once this rain stops long enough. :cd

I'm in New Windsor. Sounds like you have a nice flock! I like a variety too.
I have a coop full of mixed breeds and another one full of Orpingtons and EEs, 3 chicks in a brooder and a bunch in the incubator.
Please do post some pictures! ((when and if it ever stops raining))

Good Evening Everybody~

15 eggs from 16 very, very muddy hens today. One of the freeloading EEs finally laid another blue egg.

DD #2 is moving into her first apartment this weekend so after we picked up the coffee table she bought from the Town of New Windsor Yard sale Facebook group, we stopped at Marshalls. A bad and very expensive idea.
