Huge air cells on eggs only in day 7???

Hi!! I have a broody hen sitting on four shipped polish eggs! This is her first time hatching! And I’m starting to get worried about these eggs! Today is day seven! And when I went to candle I was shocked by how big the air cells were, also is it normal for all the vanes to be on only one side of the egg? I’ve watched plenty of times before but it’s been quite a while so I’m a little rusty! 🤦🏼‍♀️ The other day I switched her nests and put her in a different coop, and she ended up leaving the eggs to go to the old one! I’m not sure for how long but I put them back under her and left them alone until now…. Could that have anything today with the air cells being big?

Did you candle the eggs before putting them under your hen? Older eggs would have larger air cells. Shipping and being shook can cause problems with the air cells.

It looks like there might be a dead one… How hot is it outside?

Actually, it looks like they were shipped on a wrong side.

I’m not exactly sure how humid it is! 😩 I live in Texas and it’s been very hot! And she hasn’t been getting off the nest! She is her first time and she is very determined! I’m scared to take her off! I don’t want to break her! I did see a blood ring in one egg…. I was scared it might be dead! Is that the one you were talking about?

I would say it’s fine since I had eggs early in incubation that were on one side… they all hatched fine
