Huge Egg Dilemma. An all or nothing sorta issue...

Nothing still. Just an X-shaped crack.

I text messaged my co-workers at about 6:10AM announcing the cracked egg. They arrived to work and asked, Did You Spend The Night Here?!?? lol

NO!!!
But I should have. lol

HELP.
Its not looking good for the egg. And I dont have answers. Maybe I did it...I ruined him.

First: The temp and humidity in this home-made bator have been holding staedy. And unlike my LG temps hardly fluctuate.

Day 18: Candled. Looked good.
Day 20: Shouldn't have candled. Did. Looked good.
Day 21, 6:15AM: Noticed crack, first pip.
Day 21, 2:00PM: Nothing
Day 21, 5:00PM: Nothing
Day 21, 8:30PM: Candled, no movement. No activity.

Is the chick supposed to fill the entire egg? His air shell is empty. It looks open, but he does not fill the entire space.

Is he alive? Is he done?
Im sure I did it...

First off,, breath! I had just decided one of my ducks eggs was not going make it because of some issues just like yours. I had two of them survive at least 8 hours at 110, one pipped and hatched yesterday and nothing out of the one left. I had decided it was done for so I picked it up and was walking to the bathroom to open it and see what had happened but I felt a slight movement in my hand. I put it up to my ear and whistled at it then tapped the egg and I could hear life! So it's back in the bator.
