Huge Egg Dilemma. An all or nothing sorta issue...

Well...nothing.
He's a goner, Im sure.

I went to a feed store this morning though to get feed. I saw baby chicks.
Purchased three.
2 Aracuanas and 1 Polish.
Very cute.
Kids were ecstatic.

The Polish eys is closed. Has he been pecked in the eye? Should I get it checked out.

Well, if you think he is gone, maybe you should peel a little shell and check? If he is still alive, it could save his life. If he is dead, it won't hurt him. If he is alive, you might get him interested in hatching himself. Come on Lone Ranger!!

Oh, you have to at least check and see. Just peel back a tiny bit of shell and see if you see his beak moving. Like was said before, if it is alive you won't hurt it. Just put it back and give it more time on it's own if you want. But at least you will know. Sorry to hear it might not make it. But thank goodness you found babies!!

Check and see. If you run into blood in the membrane stop. Wrap it in a damp toweling or something and put him back in. You don't want him to bleed to death.

Chicks are always a pick me up - so that was a good move.
