We used it in a pie and sure enough it was a double yoker!

Blondie(one of out EE hens) pops out big eggs like that regularly. She's been laying for about 2 or 3 weeks, and we've gotten several double-yokers out of her. I feel so sorry for her! Her first egg was bloody like that, but afterwards they were cleaner. I guess(or really hope!) that their pipes kinda stretch to fit after a while.

I have been getting some eggs like that too. I should have put a coin next to it but the egg on the left was a large egg a little over 2 ozs. and the one on the right was a little over 3 ozs. I did eat it and it was a double yolker.

I am sooooo happy to see this thread on very large eggs. We are on vacation and our chicken care takers sent us this picture. At first we thought they were playing a joke on us ... apparently not!
